Don't worry, I'm sure ... well, maybe 80% sure ... those chicken strips are fine. Lee is mainly concerned about finding something close enough to kosher that he can eat.

Don't forget to vote for us on TopWebComics! If we get into the top 100 before the end of this month, I'll donate $100 to humanitarian relief for Ukraine. Last I checked, we were at #138, let's keep it going!

On the bright side, if he gets food poisoning, it won't necessarily be the death knell for this road trip. On the one occasion I got food poisoning, I ate the contaminated food for supper, then started showing symptoms a few hours later once we'd bedded down in a hotel room. But after a mostly-sleepless night in which my body periodically did what it had to, I was mostly OK the next day, albeit fatigued. Despite the drama, it didn't interrupt our schedule.

Food poisoning is such a spectrum. I've had meals pass by without drama that left my wife and daughter fighting for the loo. Of course, I avoid chicken. Not for a history of food poisoning, I just don't like the stuff...

When I was in college way back when Ford was President we used to get food poisoning on the regular because Food Services was really lax about keeping the food outside the "Danger Zone" on the line. Either I got immunity to food poisoning, or they cleaned up their act by the end of school, and since we were still getting cold food on our plates I'mma go with "immunity".
